It's Cybercom's Best of the Web, featuring a slew of super-cool interacitve, experiential and innovative goings-on all around the Interwebs!

The future room exhibition: Have a look at this interactive installation from Coca-Cola celebrating its 125th Anniversary. Created by Istanbul agency Antilop and designed specifically for the Turkish modern-art museum Santralistanbul, the “Future Rooms” is an impressive 90-square meter, 270-degrees projection mapping installation. The exhibit brings visitors through different time periods of Coca-Cola’s history while creating a uniquely collaborative presentation that keeps participants fully engaged until the end.

Paint with sound: German photographer Martin Klimas has an interesting technique for painting. He uses sound. Klimas puts different coloured paint on top of a speaker over some translucent material and then turns the volume up. For each image, Klimas selects music (dynamic and percussive) and the vibration of the speaker splatters the paint into patterns that reveal themselves through the lens of his camera. Each image becomes an abstract portrait of the song he plays. Klimas spent six months and about 1,000 shots to produce the final images which are the artist’s attempt to answer the question “What does music look like?”

Solar sensitive advertising: To promote Nivea sunscreen, Brazilian agency AgenciaClick Isobar developed a billboard that features a mosaic made up of 1 million white beads. To be able to see it, you need to wait for a sunny day as the beads become colorful only when exposed to the sun. During the day you can see a woman sunbathing on the sand, with the beads reacting to the sun’s UV rays to provide vivid colors, except for the white letters of the tagline covered with Nivea Sun protection. At night, when no sun is shining, you can see a teaser message.

Golden Tiger: The French design studio Le3 are responsible for “Golden Tiger,” a moving 3D projection of a tiger running through the streets of Paris. The amazing part? That there are no post-production special effects. Captured on camera and using a process called motion street mapping, the tiger’s image is projected through a car window and its movement is detected with sensors on the car’s wheels. The faster the car accelerates the faster the tiger runs.

Sizzling: The Red Hot Chili Peppers new version of their latest single “Look Around” literally lets you, well, look around. A cool idea where you can be the director and take control of the camera. Zoom in and out, move around different rooms and unlock bonus content like photos and videos by clicking items in the screen. Beat that, MTV.

Tree Sounds: Have you ever thought how tree ring (the circular lines used to determine a tree’s age) might sound like in a record player? Well, someone did and turned it into a pretty cool project. In “Years” Bartholomäus Traubeck translate the rings of wooden disks into music using a computer-rigged record player. To do this, he used an elaborate tech setup including a modified PlayStation eye camera (which streams a close-up image of the record to a computer). “Years” uses a special stylus arm that maps the strength, thickness and rate of growth of a tree’s rings; this data, combined with the overall appearance of the wood is translated into harmonious piano sounds. Unique.

Hang Out: If you fancy climbing buildings like Spider-Man but can’t handle the danger factor, check the Bâtiment Building. The trick? Mirrors. The installation by artist Leandro Erlich and displayed in Paris as part of the In Perceptions exhibition, features a large photo of a building on the floor and a giant mirror standing perpendicular to the picture. Museum goers can interact by laying on the photo and seeing themselves “hanging” off the buildings.

Sans Waiter: Inamo, an Asian fusion restaurant located in London is giving customers a little fun with their mooshoo. It has a unique selling point: its interactive ordering process that allows minimal contact between patrons and waiters. Each table has an overhead projector which shows an illustrated menu onto the table. Diners can use a touchpad to select their meals, drinks, order the bill and even book a taxi! You can see how the food looks like before ordering by choosing a full-size image of the plate which is projected in your table. While waiting for your food, you can play interactive games or check the chef from your seat by using the “Chef Cam” option.

Tape Recorders: “Tape Recorders” by Mexican artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer is an interactive art installation in which motorized tape measures record the presence of nearby onlookers by slowly extending (video). When a tape reaches about nine feet, it flops over suddenly (anyone who has used a tape measure will recognize this behavior). The installation is on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney through February 12.

Black and WTF: If you are seduced by the surreal and baffled by the bizzare then you’ll enjoy this week’s Tumlr offering. Black and WTF is a collection of old photos from the past which confirms the thinking that we humans are just downright wacky. Our personal favourite is Model Monique Von Vooren bowling with a Kangaroo. Odds on that the Kanagroo won!

Short of the Week: Don’t have the time for a feature film, then Short Of The Week is for you. There’s magic in them their short films and the rise of crowdfunding and crowdsourcing is giving birth to a generation of film makers who are cutting their teeth on the art of the storytelling through this short film genre. There are some real beauties here all nicely categorised for you so make take some time away from the maddening crowd and wrap your lids around some of these finely crafted shorts!

Focus on the Toast not the toaster: And finally on a more serious note, here’s a video from Howard J. Brown the founder of dMass a consultancy that focuses on "reduction through design" and integrating environmentalism with business. This is important stuff guys as we move into an era of dwindling resources this kind of thinking is essential for all businesses to if they are serious about building a resilient roadmap for the future!

Power of Positive Thinking: Beverage giant Schweppes has unveiled an app for Facebook that gives users a look into the next year of their lives. The "Unexpected Future" app pulls info from the user's Facebook Timeline and uses the findings to predict a magical future of love, wealth and ultimate happiness for the participant. Once installed and launched, the application breezes through a number of future Facebook updates announcing job promotions, travel holidays and other major life events, complete with comments by your actual Facebook friends. It's a fun little distraction and inspiring to boot; there's something about seeing the possibilities that makes you feel that maybe they are, well, possible.

Viva Mexico: Last week, the National Art Museum in Mexico (MUNAL) held its first Mextagram (Instagram users in Mexico) gathering for a pow-wow on inspiring creative ideas. Led by Pepe Montalvo, Vice President of Creative at Ogilvy Mexico, the event helped promote a photography competition for the Mextagram community. Staged in real time using the hashtag #mextagram_munal, the competition involved six teams of participants that had three hours to get the best photos from within the museum. They then published the photos using the following hashtags: #munal_sentimientos (feelings), #munal_bestias (beasts) and 'munal_miradas (glances). The competition runs through January 29th, and everyone in the Mextagram community is invited to visit the museum and upload their pics.

Speed Racer: BMW recently launched its latest model in South Africa with an experiential event well-suited to car lovers world-wide. The launch event featured an interactive projection that displayed a car racing video game. Players simply connected their Facebook account to an iPad which transformed the tablet into a virtual steering wheel. Participants used the iPads to steer the cars around the projected track and prizes were given away for those with the fastest times. The scores were also published within Facebook so even those not at the event could get a feel for the action.

I Can Be Your Hero, Baby: Los Angeles-based artist Alex Gross is breathing new life into vintage photographs by giving their subjects superhero powers. The artist uses the method known as "piggyback art," taking an existing work of art and adding to it. In his latest series, "Heroes, Villains, and Monsters," Gross paints over antique cabinet card photos and in the process transforms each subject into a modern-day superhero, villain or monster. The works go on display at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in Los Angeles on February 25th but can be viewed now <a href="http:// a href="http://www.alexgross.com"on">http://www.alexgross.com">on his website.
