Friday’s Best of the Web
It’s hard to believe it’s been a week already, but here we are at the second of our regular Friday features. It’s been a very interesting week in the digital world and we’ve gathered together some great digital oddities for you to peruse.
First up is a unique concept from Adobe, who are organising a completely online live creative festival event on 1st July from 11am-4pm. Register for the Adobe Online Festival and then on the 1st of july you can attend the event, where there will be live streaming ‘casts’ of speakers, masterclasses and workshops etc.
Games & Interactive Digital
- Discover the future of tennis through Lacoste’s futuristic celebration of its 75th anniversary. This is flawlessly done and should saturate most of you Flash junkies out there.
- Read, play and interact with the news. Spectra is MSNBC’s newest news aggretator and, visually, a really nice site.
- For anyone who has ever collected football stickers, welcome to the digital alternative! Just click on ’stickers’ to see info on players and watch their video highlights.
Cool Designs
- Take a look at the 14 best creative advertisements according to Bspcn.Com.
- A clever loader, some serious graphics and a really nice nav. This is one tasty cup of coffee!
- We were just as confused as you’ll probably be, when we first found ReadAtWork. There just hasn’t been a website done like this before - pretty cool we think.
- Did you know there’s a world record for downloads in a 24hour period? Well there is, and this a really smart idea from Firefox to not only get good press coverage, but also hugely increase their market penetration.
Digital Advertising
- Vodafone Webstreaker: A very entertaining banner - go streak those sites!
We’re always looking for what’s new and cool, so if you’ve seen something that the rest of the world needs to know about - send it over to info@cybercom.ie
