Congratulations to our lucky Sony Vaio laptop winner, Mischa McInerney! As those of you who were at the National Digital Media & Marketing Summit will know, Cybercom offered participants a chance to win a laptop if they shared their thoughts regarding 2010 being a Defining Moment of Change for Marketing. Lucky Mischa dropped by Cybercom HQ yesterday to pick up her brand new shiny red laptop. Congratulations Mischa!
The wait is finally over and we have been able to get all the necessary permissions and sign-offs. Below you will find the four videos showing the commentary and discussions given by Cybercom and our three speakers; John Dunne, Richard Colwell and Mike Walsh. Due to permission rights we are unfortunately unable to show Matt Harding’s presentation. Feel free to add the videos to your own sites and share them with friends and colleagues.
Prior to last week’s conference, Matt Harding and Mike Walsh both took part on the Matt Cooper afternoon show on TodayFM. If you missed the show, you can check out the following recording:
We know that many of you have been waiting eagerly for the presentations and videos of last Thursday’s conference, and rest assured they’re on the way. Unfortunately the editing is taking slightly longer then we hoped but we want to make sure that everything is perfect with them. So stay tuned and we promise to have at least two of the videos up today!
In the mean time why not pop over to Pix.ie and check out a selection of photos from the day.
Following our 10 Year Conference in The Sugar Club last Thursday, the Cybercom crew and a number of friends of the agency retired to Odessa for a few drinks. As it turned out, there was a little bit of dancing too…
The afternoon is over but everyone would surely agree that there is an awful lot of thinking left to do. From John Dunne, to Matt Harding, to Richard Colwell, and finally on to Mike Walsh, each speaker addressed the changing face of not just the digital landscape but of human interactions in general. Whether facilitated by technology or the medium of dance, as we move forward, everything about who we are will be driven by a want to interact and connect with the greater world around us.
For all of you who couldn’t make it don’t fear, we’ve videoed the afternoon and everything will be available next week. On top of that we will have our speakers’ presentations available for download either tomorrow or early next week.
We previewed our next speaker yesterday evening, but it doesn’t even compare to being able to see him speak in person. From this morning Blogger’s Breakfast it became clear that not only does Mike know exactly what will be the next ‘big thing’ but there is no question in your mind that he’ll be wrong. Mike Walsh is a man who leads his life at the cutting edge of everything digital.
We presented a quote about how Mike’s presentations are described: “powerful catalysts for leadership transformation, strategic planning and brand inspiration” – I think everyone here in The Sugar Club would agree 100%. A brilliant presentation.
After a short break, Richard Colwell is up next to present his talk, ‘Will Antiques Roadshow be on TV or Will TV be on Antiques Roadshow’.
Richard is the Managing Director at Red C Research, and has worked in the research industry for over 18 years. Today Richard is talking to us about how media habits are changing and how our lifestyles are changing with them. One of the most startling pieces of data that we see id the ongoing decline in TV viewing and the continued increase of digital (internet) channels as alternatives to TV. All in all, more time is being spent online year on year.
If you have anything you’d like to ask Richard, just drop a comment below or tweet us at @Cybercom using the hashtag #Cybercom10.
